On 22^nd September 2023, the SPGL team gathered in Troyes, France to mark a sensational milestone – the company’s 15th anniversary. It was an unforgettable two-day extravaganza filled with adventure, gastronomy, and, of course, fabulous Champagne!

Day 1: Sipping and Ziplining

The celebration began with a visit to Champagne Devaux. Our team immersed themselves in the world of champagne-making, learning about the in-depth history, followed by tasting the finest champagnes, it was an effervescent start to our weekend.

But the excitement didn’t stop there! Next, we ventured to Grimpobranches, where the SPGL team defied gravity with thrilling tree-climbing, heart-pounding zip-lining, and a friendly round of mini-golf.

Nightfall: A Grand Feast

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we gathered at the enchanting Hotel Area De La Forêt D’orient for a soirée like no other. With glasses of Champagne in hand and amuse-bouché on the terrace, we toasted to the past and the future. The evening unfolded with a delicious menu, including some classic French cuisine such as salmon tartare, succulent lamb, an exquisite cheese course, and a divine chocolate praline tart. We enjoyed a inspiring speech from our MD, honouring our long-serving employees before we partied the night away.

Day 2: Cheers to Épernay

The adventure continued on our second day with a trip to Champagne Boonen in Épernay, a gem owned by one of our very own team members. We delved into the rich history of this iconic champagne house and savoured a medley of their finest creations. A picnic lunch bathed in glorious sunshine added the perfect touch to this Champagne odyssey.
